Fachgruppe Open Source/Linux des Arbeitskreises Software-Qualität und -Fortbildung, ASQF e.V.The SIG Open Source/Linux, established and maintained by the ASQF e.V., is a platform for a constant and continuous exchange of experiences between users and developers of Open-Source- and Linux-Software. The SIG meetings take place regularly, the participation is free. At the meetings the knowledge to use and develop Open-Source- and Linux-Software is taught and possible developments are discussed. The aim of the ASQF e.V. is to build up a German network of experts in the area of software quality that can strengthen Germany as a location of industry and commerce. Through organizing SIG meetings, the ASQF e.V. provides experts from industry and research a forum for an exchange of information on developments with colleagues or related organisations. Renowned speakers lecture on trends, technologies and their practical experience and discuss these with the participants. Moreover the participants socialise with each other and by this get valuable contacts. The ASQF e.V. has established nine SIGs: Open Source/Linux, Automation, Automotive, Java/XML, Medical Technology, Project Management, Maturity Models, Software-Test and UML.

Embedded Systems InstituteDie fachlichen Schwerpunkte des Embedded Systems Institutes liegen in der Analyse, der Zusicherung von Qualitätseigenschaften und der Lösung von Problemen des Entwurfs komplexester eingebetteter Systeme. Energieverbrauch, Wärmeausbreitung, Echtzeiteigenschaften und Verlässlichkeit sind Themen, denen sich das neue Zentrum wissenschaftlich widmet.

LIVE Linux-Verband e.V.Der LIVE Linux-Verband e.V. ist der Branchenverband der im Umfeld von Freier Software und Linux aktiven Firmen. Zentrales Ziel des LIVE ist es, den professionellen Einsatz von Linux und anderer Freier Software zu fördern. Er vertritt die Interessen der in diesem Umfeld aktiven Unternehmen und repräsentiert die kommerzielle Komponente der Entwicklergemeinschaft Freier Software in Deutschland.

LiSoG - Linux Solutions Group e.V., StuttgartThe Linux Solutions Group was founded in March 2005 to promote Linux based business. With a clear business approach targeting the German speaking Region of Germany, Switzerland and Austria LiSOG has a unique position in this area. The intention of this cooperation platform is to enhance business solutions based on Linux and Open Source. Additionally, LiSoG aims to develop a business orientated culture of integration and to strengthen the acceptance as well as the confidence for users and providers. LiSoG has set up an independent Architecture Board which develops some precise sector and technology based scenarios each year. LiSoG is promoted by Global Players of the IT sector and by various companies of the small business sector, who are engaged in Linux and Open Source. To name a selection of the members: providers are IBM, MySQL, Novell, Red Hat, Collax, Abraxas and users are Stuttgarter Versicherung, Freistaat Bayern, Schweizer Bundesverwaltung as well as Universities.

Linux Professional Institute LPI e.V. German, KasselDer LPI e.V. unterstützt das Linux Professional Institute (LPI) mit Sitz in Kanada bei der Entwicklung unabhängiger, international anerkannter Qualifizierungsstandards für Linux und Freie Software. Die Akzeptanz der bestehenden LPI-Zertifizierungsprogramme und Expertenprofile wird durch unsere Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Informationen und Beratung weiter verbessert. Als neutrale und unabhängige Organisation bieten wir eine geeignete Anlaufstelle für den Bereich Linux und Freie Software im Bildungswesen.

Mainfränkisches Electronic Commerce KompetenzzentrumThe MECK is a project under the direction of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Wuerzburg-Schweinfurt in cooperation with the Chamber of Crafts of Lower Frankonia and the Chair of Prof. Dr. R. Thome. As one of 25 centers of excellence in Germany, MECK advises small and medium-sized companies of industry, trade, services and crafts since 1998 on the field of electronic business. The main focus rests on specific guidance of companies, the realization of meeting to provide neutral information and the procurement of advanced training in the area of Internet and E-Commerce/E-Business.

The Nuremberg Association for the Communications Technology (NIK e.V.) was formed in 1994 as a Public Private Partnership to enhance the technology spectrum of the Nuremberg area by supporting R&D-Projects, providing information about ITC-News and organizing lectures about Technology trends. As a regionally and also nationwide well established organisation we collaborate with more than 95 members working in the information and communication technology sector, especially located in the Greater Nuremberg area. In fact our scope reaches from research institutions to universities, public sector and companies. Co-operative partners of NIK are located all over Bavaria and Germany. Our members are also well-known production, procurement and service companies as well as network operators. Moreover, we embrace heads of universities and scientific research institutes. NIK has close contacts to representatives from the Bavarian state government, the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, the City Councils of Erlangen, Fuerth and Nuremberg, the Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce and to nationwide operating ITC-Associations like BITKOM and Initiative D21.
